Biography and states research project

$7.00

This is a culminating project that is meant to be done at the end of year. This is a project that takes some time. With spending 30 minutes per day, the biography research and writing of the famous person takes about a month to complete and the slides presentation takes about a month to complete. Final oral presentations take about 1-2 weeks and I save those for the last weeks of school.

Another important thing to note is that this is an INDEPENDENT, IN CLASS project. The teacher will give detailed instructions on how to do each portion of the project but the students will complete it on their own. The only part of the project that may be completed at home is the pop bottle figure.

Included in this resource are:

  1. Instructions on how to do the project

  2. List of historical figures from each state and possible books to read for the biography.

  3. Historical figures to choose from with brief description of each: for student use

  4. Research page for a biography

  5. Planning page for a five paragraph essay

  6. Two options for a slides presentation with research pages for students to use

  7. Instructions on how to do a pop bottle character

  8. Letters to parents for each portion of the project

  9. Sign up sheet for the teacher to keep track of who is doing what.

  10. Slides presentations that can easily be assigned to students on Google classroom for completion.

  11. Rubric for grading
